'Drip-drip-drop little April shower' is the song I remember most from Bambi. Btw, that movie was released nearly eighty years ago in 1942… 😮
Yet, throughout April and since the lockdown began here in the UK around 5 weeks ago, the weather has been quite glorious. We've had lots of days and sunshine and clear skies which is most unlike April... I can recall just a single heavy downpour one evening/overnight.
The theme for me this month has been something along the lines of 're-grounding with routine'. My days feel more grounded and balanced, and I feel more balanced... healthier, better, more aligned.
I’m trying to use this period as an opportunity to re-calibrate with a pair of bicycle stabilisers, in the hope that, once we’re out of the lockdown, I’ll have learnt to ride better. In other words, I’m hoping that the healthier daily habits I’m building right now actually stick.
This month’s post: On routine
And I dive further into ‘routine’, what I’ve been doing and how it’s been helping me, in this week’s podcast episode: April solo (episode #7)
Podcast + written interviews
This month has also featured two podcast conversations + written interviews with a couple of members of the INF Club community:
Rebekah Mallory (INFJ) | @rebwriteswrongs
In Rebekah’s words: Rebekah is an INFJ, cult surviving writer. Having experienced mind control for most of her life, her upcoming memoir gives the reader a taste of what life was like being raised by Deaf parents in a doomsday cult. As a result of her upbringing, Rebekah tends to lean a bit on the dark side...unless her dogs are around.
Podcast conversation (episode #6) | Written interview
Katherine Turner (INFJ) | @kturnerwrites
In Katherine’s words: Katherine is an author of contemporary romantic women's fiction that explores the power of love and human resilience in the wake of trauma and abuse. She grew up in foster care from the age of eight and is passionate about improving the world through literature, empathy, and understanding. She also uses her voice to blog about mental health, trauma, and ways we can be more compassionate as a society. Katherine lives in northern Virginia with her husband and two children. When she's not writing, she's likely reading or exploring nature with her family.
